Our team of 12 traveled to Kampala, Uganda, in June of 2024, alongside Second Chance Children’s Ministry. We travelled to multiple cities within the week to visit a variety of families receiving our support. When in the villages, we joined the locals in worship and church services as well as helped them with water and food.  Donations of food, hygiene products, water cleaning tools, clothes, and many more were all given to the children and families, and we were able to show them the love of Christ through things other than our words due to the language barrier.

A crucial part of the trip was visiting local schools within the villages to help reach orphans and understand the education and poverty that many children face. God worked throughout the trip by bringing over 100 people to Christ!

We were also able to participate in a medical missions day, which provided dental care as well as eye care to anyone who came to receive it. As we look forward to returning, SCCM’s orphanage is going to start being built, which is super exciting as soon they will be able to provide housing as well as education for children who do not have access to them currently.
