About Us

At Second Chance Children’s Ministry we care for orphaned and abandoned children in Uganda.

Our Story

I grew up as an orphan, my relatives, especially my grandmothers made sure my siblings and I had food, shelter and school fees. It is easy for orphans to drop out of school in Uganda because of lack of school fees and school requirements. I’m forever thankful for their sacrifice. After finishing high school, I started caring for my siblings. It was hard being both a mother figure and a breadwinner for our family, but God was with us through it all. By God’s grace, we are all college graduates.

In 2013, my husband and I started sponsoring 3 girls who lived with their grandmother like I used to. Later, the Lord made it clear that He wanted us to do more, to advocate for the forgotten. Verses like Luke 6:32, Matthew 9:37-38 and Joshua 1:9 became constant reminders.

Our mission is to Reach, Teach and Equip Impoverished Orphans and Vulnerable Children Through The Gospel. Ever since we became a non-profit in 2022, The Lord has moved in mighty ways in changing lives. Caregivers have trusted Jesus, children are developing personal relationships with Jesus.

Thank you all for your prayers and support, we couldn’t do it without your support!

At Second Chance Children’s Ministry (SCCM) we care for impoverished orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda.

We are called to reach the forgotten orphans in rural areas of Uganda. We partner with churches and schools in impoverished communities to provide food, school fees and school requirements so that orphans and vulnerable children have equal opportunities for education.

We equip through Handiwork programs, to help the community gain self-sufficient skills.
