When you walk down a red dirt road in the village of Buziika and up one of the many footpaths through the grass, you will find the newly built home of Aboyo Sauda. She bought this plot of land a long time ago, always hoping she could save enough to build a house there.

One year has come to a close and another is beginning. This junction in time invites us to reflect on all that’s happened and to look ahead to where we are going. In both of these instances, it is these faces that we smile at, with joy, as we watch how God is writing their stories.

It’s the dawn of a new year and those new year’s resolutions are starting to float through our minds. What do I want to accomplish this year? How do I want to make changes to my life? Where do I hope to be this time next year?
